13 Oct Worm farming

We were recently donated a worm farm. We spent some time cleaning it out and aerating it with new bark and newspaper. After reading and viewing a few blogs and YouTube ‘how to’s’ we set it up again to see if we can get it going again then it will be finding a new home at the school.

The project is a really great way to teach children the benefit not only of recycling but minimizing waste in earth fill by using organic items to make compost which in turn is great for plant growth.
