19 Mar Family comes and goes
Sad truth is that at this stage of life my immediate family and extended family only seem to gather at special occasions these being Weddings and sadly funerals. We had one such occasion recently with the passing of my uncle "Tickey" We all gathered to share a moment in time and remember his 88 years of life and boy he knew how to live. He was a true inspiration to the youth of today, and listening to the tributes at his memorial it reminded me just how much of a man he is. He is my mother’s brother and there are aspects of her in him – the never ending energy to just keep going, at 76 my Mom makes even me tired as I have never had their energy.
I have posted a picture of my immediate family, without my middle sister Kim’s family as they could not make it from Port Elizabeth for the occasion.
You can learn more about my uncle at his tribute website. Tickey

It’s good however to see a photo of your family having heard so much about them…I can see your mothers energy just by looking at her on the photo!!
Tickey looks a special person and I’m sure he was a great inspiration to many people over the years
